Antonio Testa is a professional Musician and a Music Tutor. Since 1980 he has been working with a wide range of community and artistic projects in Primary and Secondary Schools, Universities, Theatres, Arts Companies, disabled patients in hospitals and prisons. His teaching programme delivers a variety of musical activities that include composing music for films and theatre, performing as a session musician and teaching drumming, recorder and musicianship using a variety of methods including Koday, Orff, Goitre, among others. He also teaches his original method called Giocare con I suoni (Playing with sound).
Antonio has a broad knowledge of music from around the world with a particular interest in the musical tradition of Africa, Latin American and Western popular music. Years of experience in teaching have given Antonio an extensive working knowledge of curricular teaching and thus the versatility to be able to work in a variety of settings and with a quite wide range of people of all ages, ability and background. Often his teaching extends into leading groups of students into live performance.
